For many SAP customers, transportation management is still a weak point. The process may involve outbound delivery, internal transfers, inbound logistics, carrier dispatch, dock appointment, proof of delivery, freight calculation, reconciliation, and customer visibility.
This TMS is built for shipper-side transportation management, especially manufacturing companies using SAP. It is not a system for logistics carriers to manage their own business.
Business scope
- Finished-goods delivery from customer demand to shipment, transport execution, and freight handling.
- Internal logistics transfers between warehouses or regional distribution centers.
- Inbound logistics, supplier delivery appointments, and dock management.
- Air, road, ocean, rail, full truckload, LTL, and multimodal transportation scenarios.
Execution and settlement
Transportation orders can be created by rule, manually by the shipper, or in selected scenarios by an external carrier. Carriers can assign vehicles and drivers. Drivers can make appointments, check in, confirm delivery, upload electronic proof of delivery, and enter delivery results.
Freight calculation uses condition-style rules for complex pricing. Reconciliation can happen online, and finance can verify carrier invoices without repeatedly entering the same data by hand.
